_____________________________________ [Aug 6,2006 11:48pm - AUTOPSY_666 ""] The Death Metal cartoon. |
_____________________________________ [Aug 6,2006 11:49pm - AUTOPSY_666 ""] "Do you like coffee?!" |
_______________________________ [Aug 6,2006 11:49pm - DFTG ""] I'm missing it |
_____________________________________ [Aug 6,2006 11:52pm - AUTOPSY_666 ""] I am pretty sure that someone will put it on YouTube. |
_____________________________________ [Aug 6,2006 11:57pm - AUTOPSY_666 ""] Funny, but very short, under 12 minutes. |
___________________________________________________ [Aug 6,2006 11:58pm - babyshaker not logged in ""] it was pretty good that was the best deathmetal jingle for coffee ever |
_____________________________________ [Aug 7,2006 12:00am - AUTOPSY_666 ""] I Like how the stage was dropped and opened. |
________________________________________ [Aug 7,2006 12:38am - ArrowHead nli ""] The fat kid with the beard that gets his face melted off with coffee, I swear that kid is at every show we've ever played. The singer in the grocery store making announcements on the P.A. This show is awesome. |
______________________________________ [Aug 7,2006 12:45am - Phillip nli ""] best.show.ever. that solo in the Duncan Hills coffee jingle is so good and the grocery store called Fintrolls:doublehorns: |

__________________________________ [Aug 7,2006 12:50am - litacore ""] those are all over Youtube now. You don't even have have to wait until Sunday nights anymore (tune in anyway, so the show gets high Nielsen Ratings and Mike Lazzo lets them make more fucking seasons!) |
____________________________________________ [Aug 7,2006 1:20am - DrinkHardThrashHard ""] I actually thought it was pretty bad, Korgoth of Barbaria is far superior. |
_________________________________ [Aug 7,2006 1:20am - brian_dc ""] "We are not selling out. We will make coffee metal. We will make everything metal." ha! awesome. |
_________________________________ [Aug 7,2006 1:20am - brian_dc ""] usually first episodes aren't the best. I hope they get funnier. |
_____________________________________ [Aug 7,2006 1:21am - the_reverend ""] damn, missed it |
____________________________________________ [Aug 7,2006 1:23am - DrinkHardThrashHard ""] Except for Venture Bros, which had a great first episode and has been the funniest show on TV since. |
_________________________________________ [Aug 7,2006 1:27am - TheGreatSpaldino ""] hahahaha... the corpse references were funny |
_________________________________________ [Aug 7,2006 1:41am - davefromthegrave ""] The devin townsend clone makes me laugh the funny parts in this show come when i don't expect them...like when the guy just sort of pushes his head through the glass |
____________________________________ [Aug 7,2006 2:52am - AUTOPSY_666 ""] I noticed Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield in the voices credits. |
______________________________ [Aug 7,2006 10:34am - Yeti ""] i thought the funniest thing was when they dropped Dethklok from the sky and the stage missed the X and landed on the crowd. there were a few references in it, Deads suicide and Cannibal Corpse. good to see the creators have done their research. murderface, murderface, murderface |
______________________________ [Aug 7,2006 10:42am - Yeti ""] also it is imperative that there be an Immortal cameo |
__________________________________ [Aug 7,2006 11:03am - brian_dc ""] DrinkHardThrashHard said:Except for Venture Bros, which had a great first episode and has been the funniest show on TV since. Well, yeah. The trends don't really apply to Venture Bros. just because it's such a superior show. |
_____________________________________________ [Aug 7,2006 11:47am - DrinkHardThrashHard ""] There will be a lot of metal references in the show because Small (creator) is a metalhead, actually I think some of the guitar tracks in the show are actually him. |
______________________________________ [Aug 7,2006 12:13pm - shatteredliz ""] Larissa let me watch her copy (which is good, because I don't have cable...) Funny show! And congrats to Larissa for landing the front page of the Phoenix!! |
________________________________ [Aug 7,2006 12:17pm - burnsy ""] yeah. especially the solos that are played sound like Brendan Smalls style. |
_______________________________ [Aug 7,2006 12:35pm - sever ""] http://www.adultswim.com/adultswimfix/index.jsp new episode on the right. |
___________________________________ [Aug 7,2006 1:06pm - Kinslayer ""] It wasn't very funny but I suppose it has potential so long as it doesnt make a complete mockery of the genre in the process. |
____________________________________________ [Aug 7,2006 1:35pm - DrinkHardThrashHard ""] Unfortunately it's well on its way to making that mockery. |
_______________________________ [Aug 7,2006 2:28pm - xmikex ""] I thought this show kind of ate it. The characters all ran together and the whole thing really went nowhere. Take a show like Aqua Teen for example: good diversity in characters - Frylock is the straight man, Shake is his foil, etc - it gives the jokes a sense of perspective, and while the plot may not go that far at least it goes SOMEWHERE. I give this show a C- and that's being generous. |
____________________________ [Aug 7,2006 3:01pm - mOe ""] i fuckin liked it |
___________________________________ [Aug 7,2006 3:13pm - anonymous ""] look, you are having tampons in your shopping cart |

I give this show a C- and that's being generous. i would give it a chance. i enjoyed it but i see what you mean. it will be disappointing if after a few episodes you dont see some kind of character development. this has potential to be brilliant though. |
____________________________________ [Aug 7,2006 3:18pm - HailTheLeaf ""] hahaha, finally a cartoon making fun of black metal bands...it was slightly less retarded than I thought it would be...I noticed Hetfield and Hammett were in the voice credits and now I'm going nuts trying to figure out who they were. |
____________________________ [Aug 7,2006 3:19pm - pam ""] I've never heard of this...this is great. |
______________________________________ [Aug 7,2006 3:48pm - Y_Ddraig_Goch ""] I'm pissed that I almost did not watch this show because the sunday telegraph likened the band in the show to such death metal acts as "korn, and linkin park with a little bit of metallic mixed in" But I watched it and pissed when I saw fintroll's and how they played in the artic circle of norway. they should introduce the nemesis's more, was that the pope? they should play a spoof on the whole Mayhem thing. |
______________________________________ [Aug 7,2006 3:49pm - Y_Ddraig_Goch ""] "from the green hills of colombiaaaaaaaaaaaaa" |
_________________________________ [Aug 7,2006 4:54pm - dertoxia ""] hetfield and hammett were the guys who were interviewed at the artic circle coffee extravaganza. the missing eye guy and missing fingers guy |
____________________________________ [Aug 7,2006 5:02pm - Josh_Martin ""] Sewn back together Wrong back together. |
_______________________________ [Aug 7,2006 5:19pm - XmikeX ""] i'll give this show a fair chance. the premises of the upcoming episodes sounded pretty funny |
__________________________________ [Aug 8,2006 12:58am - litacore ""] whatever, kids. I think Aqua Teen sucks the big HAIRY ROOT. Metal FOREVER |
____________________________________________ [Aug 8,2006 2:03am - DrinkHardThrashHard ""] Aqua Teen is actually very clever. I appreciate it for its complete abstract insanity. "Oh oh oh, I've got one. Why don't we call ourselves "Lets get off our *BEEP*ing asses and do something because my parole officer really loves it when I don't tell him that I spent my one day off dicking around on the *BEEP*ing moon!" I'll give Dethklok a chance only because I watch Adult Swim so much that I won't be able to avoid it. I guess one the next Metalocalypse episodes involves them fighting trolls. Korgoth is a much more metal show though. |
______________________________ [Aug 8,2006 10:40am - Yeti ""] yeah they have to write a death metal lullaby to stave off the rampaging troll. at least thats what i gathered. |
____________________________________ [Aug 8,2006 6:04pm - AUTOPSY_666 ""] :whipper: |
_______________________________ [Aug 8,2006 7:27pm - retzam ""] I saw five or so minutes of this and I thought it was funny. I didn't see the part with the Dead suicide reference though, how did they work it in there? |
_________________________________ [Aug 9,2006 9:45am - litacore ""] in the first scene. they talk about their previous chef's shotgun suicide. It's a challenge, since they talk over one another and with bad English, but listen for the word 'hovercraft.' |
____________________________________ [Aug 9,2006 9:54am - AUTOPSY_666 ""] Yeah, I watched it a couple times with the captions on, it is funnier when you can "get" what they're saying. They say something like "he blew his brains in", "no, he blew his brains out, it made a great album cover" - something like that. |
_____________________________________________ [Aug 9,2006 12:27pm - DrinkHardThrashHard ""] Probably the case. |
