I haven't heard the new Nokturnal Mortum, Deathspell, Slough Feg, or many others yet....but my favorites for the year are split between The Meads of Asphodel - The Murder of Jesus the Jew Ghost - Opus Eponymous A Forest of Stars - Opportunistic Thieves Darkthrone - Circle the Wagons Autechre - Oversteps Immolation - Majesty and Decay (no new Morbid Angel but this delivers just fine) Tryptykon - Eparistera Daimones Melechesh - The Epigenesis which rise just above a lot of the rest of the mentions in this thread which are all good. while we complaing about how shitty music has become in general, 2010 was an amazing year for music looking back at it. |

Deathspell Omega - Paracletus Cloudkicker - Beacons East of the Wall - Ressentiment Castevet - Mounds of Ash Periphery - Periphery Jaga Jazzist - One Armed Bandit Shad - TSOL Sufjan Stevens - The Age of Adz Converge put out one new track this year and it was pretty awesome, but obviously not enough to make anyones list. I can't believe Polarity made anyones list, honestly. Couldn't stand that album, and I loved DBW and ATB. |
