His vocals are very different from the shrieking, but they are not far off from Filosofem at all. I think it's a good progression, I doubt he can even do those Hvis Lyset Tar Oss style sounds anymore, but there are parts in this album where you can hear him really getting into it. |

"Belus" is a distant #2 thus far - half of it's great, half of it's garbage, but that's enough in a relatively weak year. New albums from Inquisition and Morbid Angel remain strong contenders. Watain was a disappointment. Nokturnal Mortem's effort was good but certainly not overwhelming. (Ditto new Immolation, Hour of Penance.) |
