06. Travis Barker (BLINK-182, TRANSPLANTS)
07. Nicko McBrain (IRON MAIDEN)
08. Vinnie Colaiuta (FRANK ZAPPA, STING, JEFF BECK)

18. Jeff Porcaro (TOTO, MICHAEL JACKSON)
19. Stephen Morris (JOY DIVISION, NEW ORDER)
20. Steve White (PAUL WELLER, OASIS)

this list is really dumb. I mean, really, really, really dumb. This is a "Most Popular Drummer" pole, that's all. I mean, TRAVIS BARKER is number 6? number 6? Of the last 25 years? I have friends who like the whole pop-punk thing, and one of them is even a drummer, he tried to show me one time how "good" TB is, we watched some videos, and in the end he agreed that TB really isn't very good, he's just adequate for the type of music he plays. Danney Carey isn't even ON this list? WTF? That actually surprises me cause he's popular, AND a better drummer than 95% of this list.

FUCK ME, i didn't even notice this one:
19. Stephen Morris (JOY DIVISION, NEW ORDER)
Are you fucking SHITTING ME?! I <3 Joy Division, but come the-fuck on, their drumming is nothing special, nevermind good enough to be on a greatest drummers of the last 25 years list.

I should never look at this list again, or else i'm going to have an aneurysm, or punch someone, or shit myself, or all three at the same time. AHHHHHGHGHGHHGHGHGHHGHGHHHGHGHGHGHHG

i love vapor trails and snakes & arrows. after signals, they went too synth heavy and didn't really make anything awesome until counterparts. power windows and presto are the worst, but there are good songs on some of the albums between signals and counterparts.

“Do you like Phil Collins? I’ve been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn’t understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins’ presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group’s undisputed masterpiece. It’s an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Christy, take off your robe.”

I don't know why anyone hasn't said it, but think Mike Portnoy is the most overrated drummer ever. He's such a one trick pony. He's just deceptive about it because he can be one trick pony over 20 different drums and 30 different cymbals. He'd fall flat on his dick sitting at a 4 piece kit trying to play Candiria or Dillinger... Speaking of which, Chris Pennie and Gil Sharone should be on this list. Chris Pennie created a new sound for modern drumming and Gil Sharone is just absolutely badass.

test for echo is fantastic. vapor trails would be much better if geddy seriously toned down his vocals. why they choose to layer his vocals so much is beyond me. what a bland boring record. counterparts had a couple amazing songs mixed with total shit.

If I had to pick the ten all time best drummers, my list would include (in no particular order) Gene Hoglan, John Bonham, Neil Peart, the Morbid Angel drummer, Dave Lombardo, Johnny Kelly, the bald guy who was in Dimmu, Terry Bozzio, Mike Portnoy, and earlier but NOT later Ulrich (he SUCKS now, as previously stated - but I can't forget songs like Damage Inc/Dyers Eve/Disposable Heroes/etc.)

All for different reasons, but they each contributed something original and notable as a drummer that made their band's songs special, and added to the substance of what drumming was for future bands.

Thanks, forgot his name for a second, saw them live back in 1999 in Hartford and he had just unbelievable stamina to play super fast for so long.
