I'm pretty sure the only reason it's 15 is because this venue is tiny(maybe 100 people) and It's not the cheapest of places to rent out.
gas prices go up, beer prices are going up, and shows to.

BS. Rocko's can fit a couple hundred easy. It's a decent sized venue. If the place is too expensive to rent for shows then find another venue. When I started going to hardcore shows at Karma club in 1997 the cover was $10. 10 years later the cover for any show in Brockton was still $10. If you've got a band like Converge that needs a large guarantee you bump it to $12. They're gonna draw at least 200 kids, and sell a shit ton of merch. There's enough money there to pay for the venue, pay the supporting bands, and take home a good chunk of change.
That's not even the issue. Converge, or no Converge this should would have been $15 anyways.

I was pretty sure the capacity was lower than 200...maybe somewhere between 100-150. Trying to find a new venue is no easy task now-a-days. I'm not putting on this show, but when I did put on shows there were several available. Now most of them turn down shows, the ones that do allow shows ask for a completely outrageous rental fee, and sometimes require you to get insurance to cover their asses.
& the show was $10 before Converge were added, the old flier is in another thread.
but whatever....I mean arguing about this is pointless

also i really dont care about the show, im moving next weekend so it means nothing to me how much is charged i just hate seeing the prices of shows constantly going up 15 bucks for a Converge show esp with Trap Them and Disappearer yeah id def pay it and not bitch about it cause itd be an awesome show.

everybody has opinions of local promoters in the area, it just happens. I guess I've been lucky to get along/not get screwed by anyone really...with the exception of someone who USED to book in NH some years ago and a also someone showing up to the Through The Eyes of The Dead/Ed Gein/Despised Icon/In Dire Need show in Ashland telling the guys running the place and bands playing he booked it.

Ahh...I really think a beer off would be fucking awesome. Go into sunset grill at say... 2pm, there's a coin flip and the winner chooses the beer for that round. then after those beers are done the other person chooses the next beer. always remember that thing has an active EQ, not a passive like 99% of other amps. The slightest eq movement makes a drastic change in tone. I used to get killer tones out of my XXX. I kind of want another one. Did you end up buying that hush that someone here offered you?
