You need to take a hunter safety course in order to get your license.

My daughter calls it "juicy steak" all the time. Never just "I'd like a steak", it's always "I want juicy steak". She's not on board with the veggie thing, to say the least.

IMHO it should be her own choice. Just like religion.

You need some DHA and EPA. Stay away from ALA.

I never said anything about Omega 3s, I said something about fish oil. Your reading comprehension sucks as bad as your typing, HIPPIE.

Last time I ate meat was nov 1998, chinese chicken fingers. From 1994 to 1998, I would eat a mcchicken or chicken fingers 2-3x a year. I went to eat a mcchicken in the beginning of june 1999 and never got one. Never looked back. Between that time, I had to snap the neck of a retarded turkey to put it out of it's misery. That was enough for me.
from 1989 to 2003-ish my friend and I had a bet to see who would go with out eating red meat the longest. I won.

Omega-3's are why you take fish oil.

"Dietary sources of omega-3 fatty acids include fish oil and certain plant/nut oils. Fish oil contains both docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), while some nuts (English walnuts) and vegetable oils (canola, soybean, flaxseed/linseed, olive) contain alpha-linolenic acid (ALA)."

that's like saying to drink a 3 rack for the taste. not cause it gets you wrecked and makes you forget about your shitty life.

ALA has to be converted to DHA and EPA for use. IIRC some is used immediately but the majority has to be converted.

You just quoted something that says you can get Omega 3 from sources other than fish oils.

Omega 3 isn't just one thing. It's Omega 3 fatty acids. With an S. While I'm sure there are some plants that have DHA and EPA, the majority of ALA which gives you the least benefits.

That being said, I take Omega 3 supps every day derived from fish.

I know what you're saying, I'm not syaing anything against it all. I should have said IN MY OPINION, taking fish oils negates being a vegetarian, since you have to kill the fish to get the oils. This is turning into a completely different debate now since Aaron read what I typed wrong, or some shit.

I agree. If she didn't get it at school and her dad's, I would cook it for her. Not every night, obviously , but a few times a week. That's the plan for summer vacation.

Same goes for the boy child. My main concern is raising them to not think they need to eat meat for breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday. I have no intentions of bringing up two fat, stupid American kids with cholesterol problems.

That said if those rotten kids don't like what I cook they can just go to bed hungry.

How does animal meat/fat correlate with obesity and cholesterol problems? I should bring up the farce that was Ancel Keys.

Ugh. Tell you what: you eat your bacon/sausage breakfast, roast beef lunch and steak dinner every day and I'll eat what I eat and we'll see who is still alive in 20 years.

No thanks. I don't eat meat nor do I ever plan to again so there is little point in reading about how wonderful meat is. I'm sure others would be into it, though?

I am plenty healthy, feel awesome, finally got rid of the heartburn issues I had for a decade, and am finally back to a good weight without even having to try to lose weight, that's proof enough for me that I'm doing what is best for me.

Yeah, have you seen the ingredients. That shit's the worst for you. I'm not saying LOL ALL FAT'S GOOD FOR YOU. I'm saying there's an incorrect stigma thanks to the low-fat craze started by Ancel Keys and his fraud of a study.

I'm not really talking about meat per se. Just the fats in it.

Well, I'm not really out to convince you or change your mind or anything so I guess I'll stop where I am. I'm not saying you aren't healthy or that it's impossible to be healthy on a vegetarian diet, you're just not 100% optimal - probably more like 80 - 90%.
Anyway, if you want to read some shit check out:
http://www.marksdailyapple.com/saturated-fat-healthy/

That site, in general, is the ultimate resource for healthy eating.

lol, Have you ever stopped to think about where doctor's get their information?
From poorly executed studies paid for by Big Agra/the Gov't. If you read the first saturated fat link you'd see information on Ancel Keys' study that completely disproves it.

And if you really need some more scientific information regarding saturated fat (I always show people Mark's Daily Apple first because it's the most down to earth) then I can link you to some more places.

Sorry dude, I don't buy into the big brother guberment deliberately withholding the secret of how wonderful saturated fats are.

And there's always the glaring example, and I'm not being a bitch here, that you appear to be overweight, which seems to be a common trait among people who insist I am not as healthy as they are.

Moreover, the entire point of your argument here is that I cannot get this fat eating what I do, and I can. Unless you think the doctors are making that up, too.
