Ichabod and Noosebomb are from MA. I have no idea where the others are from. Noosebomb is ex-Grief, if you have friends who're more old school MA doom than that, I'd love to see them. I think the idea is to put on a fest that has a broader appeal, which means more bands from out of the area. I'm sorry you or your friend's band didn't get to play.

that's cool.. I don't think many people think about a doom band just north of boston that has been playing out for a couple years and in existing for like almost 10 years. I have to stop posting on this forum. I'm getting very annoyed by the backstabbing selfish scene (not you but others). But thanks for being kind Rich

I dunno if Shroud asked Joe or not, but this year is pretty low on locals in general. I think Sin of Angels is actually the only band from Joe's own label that's playing this thing. He took a big hit last year, and I think is trying to recoup with this one. I doubt it's personal.

The fest from last year had no bearing on this years fest, other then the change of venue. The bands listed on the fest contacted me with the exception of Benumb, The Hidden Hand and Fuck the Facts. You might be mad that Shroud of Bereavement isn't playing, so don't come. Bill's Bar will sell out and tickets go on sale soon. The fact of the matter is Shroud of Bereavement didn't try to get on so you can blame them.
I posted I was doing another fest on this site and the relapse message board and as a myspace bulletin and assembled the line up from replies of those messages. I'm happy with the line up so complain away!

I have nothing against Shroud, both years I put together bands who asked to play, with the exception of some of the headliners. Anyways, it's my fest so even if it is selfish it doesn't matter. I am not running a popularity contest.

ok, so i just read this thread for the first time. If this has anything to do with jeremy's post's, i will say this, I thank you jeremy for trying, but stop please. Those posts aren't really helping. if we knew the fest was going on, we probably would have asked joe to get on it. I honestly didn't know Joe was doing the booking already. I haven't been on here for some time so I guess I didn't see this thread quick enough. Joe knows me, and if he wanted us to play he'd ask us. either way I don't care, there are tons of shows to play around here. Good luck with everything Joe.
