Whenever a subject like this comes up i've noticed black sabbath is mentioned 100 times, i only see 2 here. black sabbath has to be one of the best bands ever, and i'm sick of people saying they're over-rated just because paranoid is over played on the radio. there is a difference between over played and over rated! same goes for acdc, although i'm starting to see girls that have never listened to metal or rock in there life wear pink acdc shirts, and "gangsta rappassssssss" too. wtf is this about? |

Seeing as I'm one of the 2 that mentioned Sabbath, it has nothing to do with being overplayed. I don't listen to the radio to know if they are overplayed. Again I like them for the most part; I just don't think they are that good to deserve all the praise that metal heads give them. Again . . . overrrated does not equal overplayed. and overrated does not mean the band is automatically hated. |

Opeth... seriously, when everyone started taking a dump over that band I thought everyone was just being sarcastic. I have no idea what the hell is going on when that band plays. Over-rated. Structure of Lies was over rated and boring. Iranach was over rated. Premonitions of War is foolish, and over rated. Bleeding Through is mega-over rated. (and pretty fruity if you ask me) Killswitch Engage has, and will always be over rated. (no, I didn't like their old stuff) Shadows Fall has been overrated for a long time. Overcast is one of, if not the single most over rated band of all time. |
