Yeah, I totally understand why bands would jump at the chance to play with such a great lineup of nationals.
It's just unfortunate that instead of really promoting the show, the people putting this on are just putting the burden on the bands with the "selling tickets" thing (read: "paying to play"). If you just get enough locals who have to give you a lump some of money before you let them onstage, then you can pay off the tour guarantee with zero effort.
It is a lazy and sleazy way to be a show promoter.

Yeah, it's for that reason that we are pretty much done with Mark's. I already have a job, the band is supposed to be fun. Paying to play = not fun. Again, nothing against the locals on this show -- opening for Krisiun and Decapitated is awesome. Just be prepared to get treated like assholes.

Yeah,we already had a taste of what this people are all about,we were pretty much push to sell the 50 tix they gave us,we did and we got shit for it,we were rush onto the stage and they were telling us that because we were not doing it fast enough we were gonna play much less time then the other bands(also our ex-guitars was been a pain in the ass).So we look this one like,what the fuck,let's just do it,we have already sold most of the 25 tix so far so they should be happy(sarcasticly speaking)with us...lol

I cant see there being more than 70-100 people at this show.And by the time SFU come onstage,they'll be about 15-20 people in the crowd.Marks is a cool club but they cant draw people for shit

I know theres alot of bands on this bill but 4pm is to early to start a show.How about starting at 7 instead.What time is curfew at Marks? Maybe they should consider ending shows later.This way the headlining bands get a longer set

Marks definitly dont suck.They've had the best shows this year.Far better than the GAYladium.I dont see the GAYladium booking Unleashed,Metal Church,Overkill,or Six Feet Under.Instead they book crap like Unearth,Dragonforce,Atreyu,and rap shows.Plus you can smoke at Marks Showplace and see T an A
