Two hottest guitars ever[views:14402][posts:55]__________________________________ [Aug 26,2007 3:18pm - niccolai ""] A spoke shave is a tool they use to give the neck it's C shape, it was originally used in early america to make wagon wheel spokes. Most deans would probably be done without a spoke shave and with modern electric tools, but they still use the old'n terminology. the amount of roundness is measured un blocks, the high the number, the more square the neck or heel edges are. 0 block being competely curcular, 20 block being completely square. it's really fucking confusing how they figure it out, and I don't completely understand it, so I always opt for no heel. The gibson doublecut, for example is 5 block, the heel starts around the 19ths fret, is very blended, and not square. [img] |

It doesn't really focus on the heel, it's more neck sculpting. because of the tail(can't remember the proper word for it) it's too hard to figure out the blocking, but it's probably like a 7 with a 5 straight: bennyhillifier |

But it's an awesome concept. Fixed bridge, les paul style guitar but with access to the top frets. I'd be interested in knowing what it's made of. It's made of Dragonforce - HARDEST METAL KNOWN TO MAN. |
