Did your piercer give you aftercare instructions? Rince your mouth everytime you eat/smoke (try not to smoke if you do), alcohol free mouthwash, and sea salt soaks (1/4 teaspoon of sea salt to 8oz warm water). Soaking your lip might be tough, you can do a hot compress with paper towels, cotton balls, etc. if you want. I don't know how neccessary the mouthwash is as I've never used it to clean my mouth, but I guess it's recommended. |
