The drummer from Systematic Suicide was in the car as well, I believe he has a broken leg, pelvis and collar bone. Alan went to the arraingment, Zach's face is severly lacerated and his eye is suture. Nate was an awesome guy, from what I gathered from the short time I knew him, he was very passionate about music and his friends. Zach should not have gotten behind the wheel drunk. Zach is a great guy who has been through alot of shit in his life, he doesn't deserve this at all, but he brought this on himself. I'm very sympathtic towards Nate's family, and I am just relieved that Joe and Zach werent killed also, they are lucky. | ______________________________________ [Sep 15,2005 7:56pm - the_reverend ""] ok, I just got off the phone with my sister. there was a party down the road that they were at at they were drag racing on that road. the place where the crash happened is on a small turn that she said you barely have to turn your wheel at all for, but by the tracks, they didn't turn at all. the crash woke up everyone in the neighborhood and she said it was "wicked weird" going down there. they went through 2 yards before the yard they stopped in. they went over a mail box, a bush, and then smashed through a stone wall before the car was cut in half in her friend's front yard. since the car was cut in half, the kid was ejected. she said with the backseat. she also said that the dead body laid there for 7 hours uncovered in her friends front yard while the police did their work and her friend had to get a permission slip to get to her house. if you map quest it, my sister lives on scobie pond and that was on wentworth. I've only gone down wentworth once when I was lost. |

I will never know the families or Zach's pain, but I can hope that something good will come of this (such as knowledge of such accidents hitting close to home) and that the healing can begin its long grueling process, without more pain. The point is that EVERYONE should excercise proper judgement of their ability to safely drive. Having a beer or two will impair ones abilities, but to what extent? I can have 6 beers and be crawling and tripping over myself, while my roommate could be doing handstands. Same goes for a beer or two. I'd rather you drive home with a couple beers in you than have you driving home after working an 18 hour shift on 3 hours of sleep. Both happen every day. The point is, he was driving poorly. Impaired or not, he made a bad choice that ended in the most tragic circumstances. Now he's facing some very real and harsh consequences. This is a kid that we all know and most cared about. Lets show him some love and respect. I'm sure any retarded satanics against drunk driving propaganda you have to spout is something that's already occured to him over the last week. |
