How to make a stronger metal scene[views:16797][posts:88]_______________________________________ [Feb 20,2006 2:22pm - Y_Ddraig_Goch ""] So I have been thinking, how can one go about making the metal scene stronger in our area? What has worked in other places? So far some of the things I have done has been to make mix cds with all types of metal for friends who are not into metal yet, must say I have converted quite a few. It just seems there are to few people who are passionate about the music to really get a good following around here. I live in Southern NH and I must say there is no metal presence around here at all, plenty of metalheads and bands, but no shows, no cool bars that play metal music. There is a park in my city that has an outdoor stage and if I ever get my band up and going I want to see if I can get some kind of metal show there, that would be awesome but I bet it would never work. The heaviest music played there is like jazz rock fussion hahah. So what do you think needs to be done in New England to make a really strong metal community? |
