so looking passed the home-made the_network modification to a shirt... death without weeping: I'm not sure what happened from the last time I saw them. their last cd was filled with an almost-homage to pantera. now they are just brutal (follow deadwater drowning's style). they even did a mortician cover sombie apocalypse. they forgot the samples though "their after us.. they know we're still in here.. what the hell are they.. they are us, there's no more room in hell.. when there's no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth.." < night of the living dead > a lot more break downs then mortician.... human bicycle bone science industries: they took FOREVER to set up. something about the mics being an issue and no one who knew the PA system was around in the back of the drums to fix it. after they got set up, they played a operation 16mm film while they played. they had a singer (who was female) and the drummer sang, short grindy songs with some blasts. I'm not sure how long they've been around, but I swear I remember hearing the name a long time ago. they talked a lot about old-school metal. towards the end of their set, kyle broke jonathan birthrites ass and elbow... I guess he couldn't tell them apart. the network: god damn... they looked like they were a red sox franchise... a bunch of new samples before their songs. noam chompsky and king george bush I talking about iraq the first time. all of them went crazy. at one point, I saw pete flip into the crowd.. I think he took some one out. after that kevin (castro) while plotting a worker revolt, fell on me. I thought my camera was broken cause it stopped focusing.. but I had flipped a switch that stop the focusing (oopies). their set ended with all of them screaming into whatever was in front of them. pray for a plague: short set, but sweet. they had a guest vocalist too. I was kind of thrown back cause they moved around a lot which they never used to do. the re-addition to the band of bass is great too, he fills in a bunch of areas that I don't know what would have been there before. the taste of silver: they played a bunch of song really quickly with no real pauses in between. by this point, it was getting kid of late. I swear their first song, they played faster than usual. so the answer to your question: their set was too short for shirt removal and rolling around on the ground. psyopus: man what can you say, amazing. they played insanely good. again, I'm impressed by every member of this band. their bass player is awesome, I give him more props because most bass players melt into the background of a band, but he's awesome. they announced that they signed to Metal Blade tonight. Awesome news. a lot is sure happening for these guys. oh, carina and I are bringing them a care package tomorrow.
