The alnico magnet models (60a, 81a, 85a) are typically neck only because of thier darker, bassier tone. I'm located in Whitman massachusetts.(near brockton and weymouth) My bridge is currently an 81 and will stay that way, but what I'm trying to do is switch out the 85 in the neck for a 60 in the neck. if I don't get an offer for a 60, I'll settle for another 81. |

The 81's are in my 92 Jackson Dinky reverse so I dont think they have quick connect but they MIGHT because I did only have them installed like 4 years ago...I know I have one set (out of 3) of 81/85 emgs that are quick connect. I'll dissect the Dinky ASAP and let you know... But if we can do an 81 for 85 trade I'd LOVE to! |

| ___________________________________ [Nov 23,2005 11:12am - niccolai ""] alright cool, I'll look into the price. since I'm looking to trade off both 85s... ltdec-1000: I have two mh400nt guitars, one has an 81 in the bridge and an 85 in the neck, the other one has the opposite. if you live close enough, you could compare the two with eachother and swap if you like the 85. and also, are you sure you have dual 81s? because I don't think you do. The writing on the bridge pickup should be silver, whereas the neck pickup should be a slitghly duller silver/gray (should be an 81/60 combo) but either way, I'd like a 60 much more than an 81. let me know. |
