There's no need to mask the inlays as they are plastic and the dye wipes right off, but if you have unfinished binding be careful as it will stain. If you get some on the binding, you can try to remove it with paint thinner or by using a pencil eraser and maybe a really fine nail file. Luckily the binding on the ibanez I did above is dark greyish / 2 tone and if there are any stains it doesn't show.[/QUOTE]
