Kenny, in his own quasi-retarded, unorthodox way is kind of contributing to the scene. I dont see any of the other bookers in the Mass scene getting Vital Remains at the Palladium. So what if he doesnt pay bands, most of the bands he books are wicked local. Any unsigned local band should not care about not getting paid or losing money on a show i've been playing in bands since i was 15 and havent made a penny yet. WHO CARES. nothing against Josh, he's a great dude. But the hude deal he's making about this isn't extremely warranted. |

But the hude deal he's making about this isn't extremely warranted. the whole issue isn't about money, it's the principle that kenny makes all these crazy promises, then breaks them, even for touring bands. he also guarantees that he has a PA, or that a show is all ages/18+ when it's really 21+, etc. etc. etc. he just tells everyone what they want to hear and doesn't deliver. i'm not saying it's wrong to take shows with him, but everyone should just know what to expect when dealing with him. |
