[QUOTE="the_reverend:401181"][band=gallows]: this was their first show. in had, Jeff (ex: [band=the:enclitic] and [band=halo_suffocation_machine]) on drums, Mike (um.. the guy that yells "we are not your fucking friends. not now not fucking ever" whenever he sees BSI) vocals, Nick (Bsi bassplayer) on guitar, and two other dudes. The bassplayer went into the audience and then came back up on stage, hitting the bsi guy some where which sent him down, but he recovered. the bassplayer was sort of acting like Tim (ION) on stage. one of the bouncer dudes yelled at him for hitting a light. speaking of lights, the light show that they had for two minutes was sick. hah. it was hilarious cause the fog machine was freakin' pumping A LOT during their set. however I was happy cause that, the light outside the window, and the fact that I had carina's ISO 100 camera let some cool colors through. anyhow, on to their music. they had some more doomy instrumental parts. Mike sang in dry screams which is how lee (screams of erida) used to sing when they first started. I've never seen Mike sing so I'm guessing his voice will change as it gets used to singing (again this is their first show). Mixed in, they had some of those btbam power riffs, but these were spread out thinly and overshadowed by parts that were more like hamartia, but they weren't break down laden like hamartia was. the songs progressed like BSI tracks so there isn't much of a chance for moshinl it up. Jeff's drumming has gotten crazy good since [band=the:enclitic] days. Back then it was more just like beating the drums up while trying not to fall over. he was precise as far as I could tell and did plenty of "rock" things like going across all the toms.[/QUOTE]
