So yeah, a huge mill burnt down in Woonsuckit today...[views:2583][posts:2]_____________________________________ [Apr 29,2006 8:58pm - HailTheLeaf ""] I noticed a huge plume of thick black smoke in my rearview mirror around 1:45pm while I was driving to Providence, when I came back around 4 it was still there...in fact, you could see it from Providence...I followed the smoke down a few streets from my house, huge fuckin' mill fire, streets blocked off and fire departments from at least 3 towns there. There were 3 guys up 30-50ft on ladders spraying down nearby houses so they wouldn't catch, it took them until about 6 to put the thing out..crazyness. You'd think they'd have fire sprinklers in those mills by now. I should've run home, gotten my camera and taken a few shots, but most of the streets with the good shots were blocked off, so I decided to go home, drink beer and watch it from my porch instead. It's fucked up, I was woken up at 7am by sirens from a fire two streets over, whole 3rd floor just had white smoke pooring from it. |
