This is Blake (the singer's) statement: Backstory: 7fight7 is a crew, and had old beef with me from around 2 years ago when I beat up some nerd at an Integrity show in VA. Also, they have previous issues with a good friend of mine on tour with us from an incident a few weeks ago with BMH. I don't question the statments that 7fight7 is not a real crew or in any way a joke, I do however, believe that the people who attend shows in VA Beach believe otherwise, and if not, have spent a good deal of money printing up very serious windbreaker jackets with very serious brass knuckle logos (to show how much buiness they mean) displaying 7 fight 7 all the crap over them. I mean, I did laugh at them, so I guess I get the punchline... Maybe it was an expensive joke? So in anycase, we (OBW) are playing, totally rocking sweet riffs, we're chugging, were sludging, we're pulling wild riffs out of the complete air and just totally making kids get siq. Dude on tour with us is doing mosh pitting. Which for him more or less constitutes shoving kids over who are close to him. Nobody getting shoved seamed to mind, including females and smaller patrons. One 30 year old man named Timmy in a 17 yr olds body was apparently really upset about not being able to cover his ginger hair with his sassy JLo circa 2004 hat, and decided he was however, offened by the outsiders shoving. After watching said "Timmy" try to mosh pit on my friend I made the announcment "Don't touch that kid." Timmy gave me a sour puss. Later on in our completely rediculous set of pitting a riffing, I followed up some ignorant mosh call that probably didn't even make sence with "The kid in boston hat can do whatever he wants", no mention of him being able to do whatever he wanted BECAUSE he is from boston was made. However, that also would have been a true statment because VA Beach is not even real. Following my new comment, Timbo decided to come on stage and tryed to talk or move his mouth at me or something that didn't catch my fancy, so I open hand slapped him. The stage was rushed, fighting lasted longer than usuall, stopped and started up a few times. Nobody on either side is seriously hurt. Homeboy from the mosh pit who the troubled and emotionally insecure VA kids originally didn't like got stomped a little, other than that, were all fine. They (unfortunatly) all walked away, we all walked away. Cops show up people obviously start splitting. Our drummer, Kevin, was the one hitting people with drum hardware and in no way sat around, was also the one trying to fight while SOMEONE told the cops how mean we were being. Now Kevin, he's not the smartest guy, but sit around and watch his friends get beat up he does not. Nobody in OBW or from Boston talked to police or said anything besides it was an accident, that our roadie "fell", "walked into a wall", is "accident prone", and that we had to go take new myspace pictures and couldn't really chat. My teeth are all in my face still, nobodys bones were broken, nobody was even bleeding besides the guy who got stomped out and he walked away laughing. I mean, it sucks you guys have probably prevented him from getting laid by any nu metal Kittie fans this tour, but who knows... Blind chicks dig Kittie too. The show did not get shut down cause anyone was dead or had to go to the hospital (there were not any ambulances there), the show got shut down cause some VA dudes thought it was a great idea to theft the clubs mics, and accourding to the owner, 7fight7 has allready had the cops called on the club before. That's pretty much it. I mean, we definatly didn't WIN the fight... But I don't get beat up, especially by dudes who live in towns where you can be arrested for swearing on the street and ticketed for sagging your pants. (I'm not sure if that's his real statement, but someone posted it). Jonathan is a pretty tough kid. I saw him man handle a bouncer twice his size a long ass time ago at an evergreen terrace show. I probably wouldn't have taken a swing at him if I was that dude.
