Also a reference to the number of children of Adonikam was 666 in Ezra, and 667 in Nehemiah. Clearly this is a code. Many scholars believe it is a code specifically referring to Nero. It certainly wouldn't be the only cryptic case of hogwash and allegory hidden within the Bible. The Catholic Church itself supports the Nero theory.
