HailTheLeaf said:
So, it's fine to be in good standing with a country that let's terrorists come over and bomb us as long as the keep selling us oil (Saudi Arabia), but countries that don't even threaten us (Iraq) are enemies...I see, it all makes perfect sense now. I donno why you're proving my point about U.S. foreign policy and the world bank, but ok.
Like Pat said, they don't let terrorists come over here. Also, for the umteenth time THE MIDDLE EAST DOES NOT SELL OIL TO THE U.S.A. Why do you have so much trouble with that concept? Saudi Arabia is part of Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), which was set up to take the power of the world oil supply away from British and American oil companies. Saudi Arabia and the other middle eastern countries sell to Europe, Asia, and Africa. They don't ship the oil across the world to us. There are a few OPEC countries that do sell oil to us, and they are located in South/Central America. Like I've said before, invading Iraq was nipping a problem in the butt before it became a big problem. Was this Bush's view? I don't care, its mine. Should we do it to other countries in a similar spot (like Korea)? Yup. Also, I am now confused about your view on the world bank. It seemed like you were in favor of it. Now you say you are not. Care to clarify?
