I've been focusing on a PDP CZ series.

Anyone have any input and recomendations reguarding sets, or where to get the best deal?

I'm not sure what color I feel like getting either.

Don't do it. Just pick up guitar.

I already play guitar like a madman.

plus, I recently bought an ESP Horizon NT II, a mesa cab, and a crate half stack, so I'm all set with guitar gear for a while.

and my pearl export just isn't cutting it anymore.

i've played a pacific LX for 5 years now and i love the kit. i'm not too familiar with the newer pacific kits but i'm sure they're great for the money.
all i know is that the kit sounds great mic'd or acoustic.
i'd go for it

There are no PDP dealers near me, and I don't want to order some shit off faggot ass musiciansfriend, so it looks like I might haveto bite the bullet and get something else. lame.

GC carries PDP. Where do u live?

30 miles form the nearest GC.

I was at guitar center today in RI, but they wanted 1200 for this set, it's only like 9 on musiciansfriend with a free splash and shit...

But I've had nothing but problems with musicians friend and don't want to go through the whole shipping process.

Nice set are cymbals inclued? Out of curiousity do you use a single kick to blast or a double kick?

single for a regular blast, I can single at fast enough speed, but for longer blast beats I use the double. less fatigue on my legs.

No, cymbals aren't included, but musicians friend comes with a free 14" crash

dood, get 20 inch kick drum(s)
counterintuitive, but they sound bigger than 22s, due to their being tighter and punchyer

used on craigslist. or in the want ads.

you could prabably get a sick tama performer or pearl session series with cymbals and everything for around 1000.

I want to avoid pearl and tama. Also not really in to ludwigs.

I was thinking mapex in second place, but there are also no mapex dealers near me.

a really nice mapex but it is more than you wanna pay. i like the high end tama and pearl stuff. actually i hate how pearl toms mount thru the drum.

you might like TAYE drums. really good for the money. also AYOTTE if i had the money i'd go for an ayotte or a spaun.

I was thinking spaun, but also kindof expensive.

Taye makes bigger drums, I'm into fusion kits.

I like Mapex sets alot, but PDP has a more reasonable price for a maple fusion set.

Mapex hardware is amazing, once I hit the lotery, I'm probably going to buy a janus by mapex double bass pedal.

Any idea if it's a fusion set? I'll check into it.

I kindof have my heart set on the PDP though, I keep looking around for one.

BUY SONOR. the drums they make, rule. the force series... even being lowend, aren't bad, but if you can spend the money, get higher end sonors. yeah

I am pretty sure it is 10, 12, 14 toms and a 22" bass drum.

Damn that spauns nice.

More than I can afford to pay, considering it's used and doesn't come with the hardware.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to go ahead and get the pdp. Where can I get the best deal on it? anyone here play pdp?
