PC nerds, got a question[views:2926][posts:5]_____________________________________ [Aug 13,2006 11:25am - handinjury ""] My puter knowledge is limited, bare with me...... I have an old gateway Pentium 2 PC(399 mhz, 192mb ram) that I use for internet use. The hard drives(ata 100's - 7200 &5400 rpm) are hooked up via a PCI ata66 card. Would I gain anymore speed by upgrading to a ata133 pci card? Are my hard drives even running at max speed with that older card? I just need a little more power because Surfing the net is fine until I want to also listen to music, then things gets slower(I plan on getting more ram also) |
