the_reverend said:
exactly. saddest day is shelved.
I guess we were all wrong about this one. What a killer set! And then they closed with Saddest Day ~ it blew my mind! This show was waaaaaaay better than when they played at the Worcester Palladium a few months back. I love it when there's no barricade between the crowd and the stage. That shit's raw... exactly as it's meant to be! I'm a little bummed that I missed the first couple bands though. I didn't get there until Modern Life Is War started... but at least I didn't have to wait in line!!! Crazy crowd all the way through the night!!! People were tearing it up during MLiW. Some Girls took FOREVER to start and if you were listening/watching from anywhere close to the stage, the vocals were practically nonexistant. How many times did the vocalist ask the sound guy for more outta his mic? And then when the crowd shouted out "more vocals" did we get it? Didn't seem like it. That was not cool. Other than that, this entire show has kept me grinning from ear to ear since sometime in the early afternoon Sunday. I was thouroughly pleased with the set list for Converge. I think they played a pretty good variety of songs old & new. The energy from this show is gonna keep me going for a while!
