_________________________________ [Nov 7,2006 9:40am - powerkok ""] I have little kids too, but apparently they dont give a fuck. |

____________________________________ [Nov 7,2006 9:51am - HeavensJail ""] Central heating is neither TREU nor KVLT. Additionally, my computer pumps out enough ambient heat that I can avoid paying heat bills by paying for electricity that I was going to use anyway. |

__________________________________ [Nov 7,2006 10:13am - brian_dc ""] I'm in a pretty big house so it gets ridiculously cold already. We've turned it up as high as 62 just to keep from feeling like shit. |
_________________________________________ [Nov 7,2006 10:14am - CaptainCleanoff ""] I turned on my heat because I have kids and I am white. |
__________________________________ [Nov 7,2006 10:16am - DeRtOxIa ""] my house has really old hot water register things. our furnace runs all the time to heat our water so when it gets cold out the heaters just kick themselves on. We usually have our thermostat set to something rediculous like 62 though. I have 4 computers and a laptop running in my room, oh and also the networking equipment and my 1200watt home theatre amp. so i have my heater shut off. I probably wont turn it on until mid February. Even with my window wide open my room is scorching. I only have one window and my door is in an awkward spot so i can't get any airflow in my room. |

That works too with a Halogen light...those suckers pump out some heat. Just remember to not burn your house down. |

_____________________________ [Nov 7,2006 1:14pm - Yeti ""] the only thing that sucks is we dont have access to the thermostat, its regulated by the landlord. but he keeps it on so its not cold by any means. i'll take that over paying for my own any day though. |
__________________________________ [Nov 7,2006 1:18pm - dreadkill ""] i have my own thermostat. |
________________________________________ [Nov 7,2006 1:18pm - SacreligionNLI ""] plus, we're top floor, meaning once that heat really gets going we'll be getting most of it ;) |

____________________________________________ [Nov 8,2006 8:40am - DrinkHardThrashHard ""] I've turned the heat on in my new place a few times, mainly because we had a guy come by to fix the vents and make sure the basement will be heated with the existing vents as well as upstairs. Also to test it out. Gotta get the rest of the oil tank full and quick. |
_____________________________________ [Nov 8,2006 10:02pm - badsneakers ""] nope I use a fan year round too and even when the heats is on I still crack a window at night, I like the fresh air |
