What to do with TIVO recordings[views:1334][posts:4]______________________________________ [Nov 19,2006 5:51pm - the_reverend ""] I have a ton! of recordings from my tivo on my desktop. it's taking up soooo much freaking room I need to edit out the commercials somehow and encode them some how. they are like 800MB per hour. |

Its a bit time consuming. I dont record much tv so a 60GB HD is fine for now. You must have pleny of ex.drives to dump to or why not burn to DL DVDR. I just got firewire 800/400 case cant wait to see the transfer rates w/ firewire 800. |

Are those all ata100/133 drives? I need to get a SATAII drive and PCI card for my desktop or this http://www.cooldrives.com/esata-firewire-800-enclosure-case-external.html to share between the desktop and lappy running it FW800 (w/a sataII in there, this case also has the Oxford 924chipset) Waiting for the prices on 10,000rpm drives to drop. |
