Carvin is a good cheap choice. Laney is another, although Im not a fan. You may be able to find a cheap-ish Mesa or Marshall 1960, I would suggest that if possible. |
| ___________________________________ [Dec 17,2006 10:22pm - Niccolai ""] If you don't have your heart set on the valve state amp, I recomend looking at a few more amps in the price range. a marshall 1960 is a good choice for a cab. it's a well constructed cab with celestion vintage 30 speakers (vintage 30s are always a good choice). also, for a tiny bit less money, Crate and Kustom have celestion-equipped full sized cabs that sound excellent. Me and Mark Richards have them, they are some of the best cabs I've played. The crate one is the GT412 (not the g412). it can be had for 400 bucks if you shop around. |
