__________________________________ [Dec 28,2006 3:59pm - Niccolai ""] agreed. I had the hardest time deciding which one I wanted but I ended up going with the limited edition red eclipse. [img] best 30 bucks I've ever spent. also, I ordered it last night at ten pm and it already came today 9from new jersey). I love UPS. I wanted the blue one and the gaming one pretty bad too though. I don't like the eclipse II. This thing has much faster key response than any keyboard I've used, but has the least resistence and is practically mute. Even when i pound the keys they don't make noise. Not to mention it lights up and looks like a space ship. |

_____________________________________ [Dec 28,2006 4:07pm - xanonymousx ""] your keyboard is nice but its nothing like this $1200 one... [img] http://www.artlebedev.com/everything/optimus/ |
_____________________________________ [Dec 28,2006 4:10pm - KeithMutiny ""] anyone here who spends 1200 on a keyboard needs to get immediately robbed by myself. |

[img] http://www.artlebedev.com/everything/optimus/ Those things are crazy as hell. you can program them to do anything. I probably like the typing response on the saitek better though. comfort and response is more important than programing macros and isht. |
__________________________________________ [Dec 28,2006 4:15pm - Dwellingsickness ""] Sorry, but if I had $1200 to spend on something it definitely would not be a keyboard |
_____________________________________ [Dec 28,2006 4:18pm - xanonymousx ""] KeithMutiny said:anyone here who spends 1200 on a keyboard needs to get immediately robbed by myself. true. i would never buy one but i remembered an article and i posted it. |

If I already had 3 grand invested into my PC and took part in competitions where the payoffs were as high as 20 grand, that keyboard wouldbe a VERY valuable investment. |

____________________________________________________ [Dec 28,2006 5:12pm - menstrual_sweatpants_disco ""] I will never spend more than $40 on a keyboard because they turn to shit after about 2 years in my opinion. |
__________________________________________ [Dec 28,2006 8:34pm - thegreatspaldino ""] i have the regular blue saitek eclipse keyboard. 25 bucks i paid. it gets a little more noisy after some time but its still pretty quiet. it looks awesome and feels great. |
__________________________________ [Dec 28,2006 8:40pm - powerkok ""] Ive been wanting one of these, so I can Game in relative darkness, or even just type in low light, since I AM a 'looker' when I type. |
__________________________________ [Dec 28,2006 8:41pm - powerkok ""] Why is this $70 at best buy?? Where did you guys find it cheaper? |
__________________________________ [Dec 28,2006 8:42pm - powerkok ""] Oh wait, thats an eclipse II....whats the diff? |
___________________________________ [Dec 29,2006 12:05am - Niccolai ""] The eclipse 2 has a light dimming wheel (where as the eclipse 1 just has 3 settings. bright, dim, and off which are fine), and also the eclipse 2 changes colors from red to blue to purple. The eclipse 1 is the way to go. they are available on the saitek website. there are refurbs that go for only 30 bucks. (http://saitekusa.stores.yahoo.net/recprod.html) IMO you're better off going for the blue lighted eclipse 1 kok. The red lighting can be kindof harsh. The blue is more calm on the highs and it won't make your eyes burn during 4 am ghaming sessions. There are 2 eclipse 1s that come in blue. one is the regular eclipse, the other one is the pc gaming board that comes with an extra pad for programing macros and such: [img] [img] I could not recomend this keyboard any stronger. |
___________________________________________ [Dec 29,2006 12:59am - thegreatspaldino ""] dont get the gaming one... i read 3 reviews that said the darker one is better |
