Anyways I think something like that is unavoidable these days with the amount of music out there, and in my opinion, context is everything. Using the same timing but mixing up the notes in the riff or vice versa in a different strong structure to me is influence. I think there is always going to be a debate over where to draw the line between influence and plaguerism. Thats my two cents. [/QUOTE]
