I just opened a brand new pack of duracel AA batteries and put them in my digital camera to take some pictures of my anoles and the batteries are already completely dead.

I have rechargable batteries, but I get like 2 pictures max out of a full charge with those things.

Is there a better battery to use on digital cameras? because mine eats batteries like woah. It costs me like 6 bucks in batteries to take 10 shots with no flash.

sounds like your camera dog. is there anything that gets hot on it? I'm guessing there is a short.

the camera itself gets pretty hot after leaving it on for only a couple minutes.

It's a pretty cheap camera, is a short even worth my concern? or is it a cheap enough fix to look into?

not if you don't mind spending $6 for 10 shots. that sounds like a not very cheap camera

Also, try the energizer Lithiums.
