I am very sorry that I didn't give you all an opportunity to submit yourselves for this year's New England Metal and Hardcore Festival. With the festival being only 2 days this year, and one of the 2 days being Metal Blade's 25th anniversary showcase, it made it impossible to choose any local, regional or unsigned bands for this years line-up. I am desperately trying to find a venue other than the one we have now so we cna have more time slots and get more bands on, and better power in the building to handle a real PA. I'm curious what you mean by this, because from what I remember last year, (which isn't that much) the only day that had enough metal appeal to me was Sunday, because of Wolf, Gamma Ray and some curiosity about Dragonforce. For sure, nobody cared about Gamma Ray (wah, wah), but the turnout/response for Dragonforce was as intense as I've ever seen a NEHMF crowd. I gotta believe they made tons of bank off those guys, so I'm curious about what didn't work out last year? Overall, I don't know why anyone gets upset about this, it seems like it's been obvious for years that this fest isn't interested in catering to diehard metalheads. You may as well bitch about the Warped tour not having your favorite band. |
