To donate your body to medical research, you'll need to contact a facility with a willed body program. The Anatomy Board of the University of FL website has a state-by-state list of universities with Willed Body Programs and phone numbers. Go to http://www.med.ufl.edu/anatbd/usprograms.html for the list. Contact the institution you'd like to donate yourself to and request a willed body donor form and information packet. You can't specify what your body is used for. Most places will use cadavers for teaching anatomy, or expiriment with surgical procedures, But if you want to go to the Body Farm, contact the University of Tennessee's Anthropology Research Facility and your body can be used for anything from studying the effects of being left in a trunk for 2 years in 110 degree weather, to being blown up by any assortment of military weapons. |
