Crate amps depreciation[views:1958][posts:9]__________________________________ [Apr 30,2007 2:55pm - Niccolai ""] So The Crate Shockwave head is now selling for $250 at all internet retailers. That pisses me off. In the past year, I've bought 2 of those heads at about $800 total So I over paid about 300 dollars, and one of the heads was used. Not only did I over pay, but the value of the amps I bought has significantly decreased. I'd be lucky to get 200$ each for them on the used market now. how the fuck can Crate depreciate their customers like that? Just goes to show you how gready companies are. They can cut $400 off the price of a 650 dollar amp, and still make enough profit to justify selling. That low price had BETTER be because they are discontinuing them. |

And yea, I know there aren't to many crate fans here, but The shockwave is right up there with the blue voodoo. If I wanted the blue voodoo, I could have bought it. It cost close to the same amount, but I like the sound better. |
