[QUOTE="the_reverend:650425"]I didn't proof read any of this. [band=highhorse]: unfortunantely, their drummer took years to get from near RI to here. They totally held the show up a bit. 9 bands put a rush on the set times. He showed up about 10 minutes into their set time. Still awesome to see these dudes working together in a band again. the music seems like it's lacking something. They are looking for a baseplayer or a 2nd guitarist which will fill it out more. Joe plays mostly breakdown-ish stuff so a 2nd guitarist to make it a touch more interesting would probably be better than a bass. Since the drums were set up so quickly, they were falling apart for most of the set. in between most songs, bri had to read just everything. [band=our_legs_have_become_roots]: long isis-y songs. Some screaming vocals, but usually the singer just stood there. My only complaint, like with isis, is that the songs were sort of repedative. the singer/guitar player from the first band was the drummer of this band. [band=always_and_forever]: I'm used to seeing these guys with 100+ kids with their hands in the air. odd seeing them with like 13 kids. I should have been able to get awesome pictures. But FAILED. [band=comadre]: a mixture of hardcore and dance-punk. Sort of like TTOS a bit in some places. they are always screaming at the floor and stuff like that. They had a song about a horse's ass a horse's ass a horse's ass. TTOS wouldn't sing about that. Sounded really fun and makes me want to heard CDs of their music. But I'll probably just hit the myspace. That's what kids are into these days, thre myspace. [band=graf_orlock]: tons of samples wrapping around each and every song. They were also very good. A lot of people in the audience knew all the samples. I was not one of them. The singer's plugs were made straight out of the trunks of trees. Jeepers. I wanted to pop them out and see the deflated tire tube that became of his ear.[/QUOTE]
