_____________________________________ [Dec 1,2007 8:28pm - the_reverend ""] thy will be done: some set from the last time I saw them. I guess that's what happens when you open in a similar situation. The singer lays himself out prostrate on the ground in front of the drums. Anyone know why? They got the crowd going a little and they sent a song out to decapitation. |
_____________________________________ [Dec 1,2007 9:17pm - the_reverend ""] sonic syndicate: all those people in the crowd were saying boooo-urns. a no-name band and not really strong enough to support AA. If himsa was after them, im sure that people would have been more kind, but since they were just sort of sitting through this band as their only obstacle before odin rides again through the shores of worcester. The band definitely realized that the audience wasn't into it early in the set. They quickly began filling any quiet space with any english they knew. Mostly about amon amarth coming up. This worked for the first 5 songs until the crowd realized they had fingers. Most importantly the middle one and promptly told this band they thought that they were #1. After that, everyone sat down on the floor in the pit. This lasted for a 3rd of a song until some young go-getters decided this would be the perfect time to get up front against the barricade. No one wants to loose their hard won and hard fought spot so they all jumped back up and started to dance like spice girls. it was a painful train wreck from the crowd, but the band didn't let it get to them what troopers. I think they didn't leave the stage a song early. |

If any of the people who went to this and post here saw any sign of my stuff, let me know...supposedly one of the security guards found a phone fitting the description of mine, and somebody else claimed it. ______________________________________ [Dec 2,2007 12:29pm - Demons_Blade ""] i had a great time at this show but Sonic Syndicate did not fit on that bill at all. And why do they need two singers when they both sound the same? Amon Amarth KILLED. They had a great set-list as well. I was hoping for Gods of War Arise but I was all set once they played Death in Fire and Asator. |
______________________________ [Dec 2,2007 1:28pm - Adam ""] Sonic Syndicate was simply the best this evening even if they didnīt fit on the bill at all. I read a statement that both Himsa and Sonic Syndicate are handpicked by Amon Amarth for this tour to bring diversity on the bill, to fucking bad the fans of Amon Amarth are to dumb to understand that concept and rather would have the same band play the same set over and over. I really pitty the rednecks in Worcester who lost there mothers early enough so they didnīt have anyone to teach em manners. The crowd yesterday was a real embarrassment to the whole metal community and I feel sorry for Amon Amarth for having such ignorant and clueless fans. Respect to Sonic Syndicate for not showing one single emotion during the whole set and just pulled of a great show. It just made one thing clear; who the REAL emos actually are, that would be you Worcester kids! You guys sickenss me and I regrett I ever came from the city. Regards /Adam |

I was there to hear some viking and death metal not whatever Sonic Syndicate classifies themselves as.(I thought it was a screamo/metalcore style) Plus their sound was extremly bad. The feedback on the lead singer's mics was awful and I could barely understand what they were saying. (not becuase of their Swedish accents but because of the crappy audio) I do agree that the whole sitting down thing was very disrespectful and that the Worcestor crowd should have thought before they acted. But then again thats why I live in Rhode Island. |

That bitch was FINEEEEE this would of been so much more fun if i didn't lose my obituary beanie within 10 minutes into Amon Amarth. Some drunk 40 year old faggot pushed me and it fell off so i pushed him back he threw a punch at me that felt like a poke. Fucking hate that guy. "we've had quite enough of this, let's see if we can put an end to it." and then we sat. disrespectful? absolutely, but since when are metal shows etiquette classes? they simply did not belong on the bill whatsoever. i appreciate musical diversity and actually thought they were pretty cohesive but you wouldn't expect limp bizkit to play a show with cher. |

Sorry, that's just not true--I was talking to them afterwards, and I asked Ted about: 1. What he thought of them 2. Why they were opening for AA For #1, he said they were "a little too emo" for him. I don't think he'd pick anything he wasn't too fond of. For #2, the response I got was basically: "our manager picks them for us... we have a say, but not very much of one". Amon Amarth do not hand-pick the bands that open for them; it's their manager. |
