1. Bands are confirmed just not contracted. When dealing with agencies it's best to wait til contract is in hand before releasing such information, don't you think? Not only to be professional about it, but to be sure they're going to break out of a verbal promise, a paper one is much stronger. :) 2. Nu-metal bands pay the bills so I can have the time to do what I love - which is metal. This fest is not going to be overrun with numetal acts whatsoever. Send me your thrash, send your death, etc.etc. If you read through the booking procedures it in fact says specifically we are NOT accepting any nu-metal submissions for the festival. 3. A band that doesn't have 30 fans to sell tickets to, and make a nice profit off this show, needs re-formulate their business/promotion plan a little bit and start promoting their act more before they try to get on fests & play with bigger acts. 4. I've been in business for over 2 years. Want a resume or references? Ask. I could be retarded and name drop here but I hate people that do it. But trust me, I know what's up. 5. We're not doing this like the other pay-to-play metalfests out there. We WANT the bands who play this thing to sell their tickets. I don't care if they sell them out front of the venue the day of the show even. We even say up on the TICKETS page of the website that people should contact the bands playing to get tickets from them. We're only going to have 50 available through us. After those are gone that's it. SO bands will have the majority of the tickets. For example if we sell out of tickets early through Strawberries, I'd go to the act coming from the furthest away and buy their tickets back and put them back into strawberries, etc. 6. The point of it all is we actually DO care about the bands. I want bands walking away from this feeling like they benefitted strongly, and were taken care of. We feed ya, we promote ya, we hook you up with radio & other press. We'll do what we can. Some fests charge $1000 and just give you a 15 set time .. how ridiculous is that? I would never put on an event that I wouldn't have my band participate in if it wasn't my event.
