a guitarist please![views:1774][posts:4]______________________________________ [Jan 2,2008 11:45pm - kylescofield ""] i am a bassist/composer from portland maine. i have been writing for a project for a long time now but can't seem to score a guitarist who can play what i write. i am looking for a guitarist who has an extremely open mind, knowledge of music theory and good chops. i currently live in maine in a house with a jam space but i will move anywhere in may if shit is working out well. i went to school for a few years for jazz bass, i have been playing for 8 or 9. i have good equipment, transport and a job! the music i compose is a mess of influences from opeth to john zorns masada. i love all kinds of music and will play with anyone who wants to experiment with fusing aggressive music with other styles. please contact of me if you are seriously interested. |

_______________________________ [Jan 25,2008 12:43am - sean ""] Hey, I live in RI. I graduated as a music major with a focus in sound recording from UMass Lowell. I've been playing guitar for about 9 years now. I know my jazz and classical theory. Like you I've got lots of song ideas I want to work with other intelligent musicians on. My main influences are Opeth and Meshuggah, but also In Flames, Alice in Chains, Nintendo, Dying Fetus, Nevermore, Dimmu Borgir, At the Gates, Porcupine Tree, Darkane, Extol, Amon Amarth, Yes, In-Quest, Iniquity, Susperia blah blah blah... I like to write songs that include a wide variety of elements like clean singing and harmonies, quiet acoustic parts, extremely brutal riffs, swedish thrashing, odd times and weird subdivisions, a wide range of death metal vox (gutteral, grindy, black metal-y), but most importantly always a feeling of bleakness, evilness or epicness. I'm into death, progressive, technical, thrash, black metal and grindcore. I'm dying to get back onstage. If need be and my computer willing, I can scrape together a recording of my most recent project. Email me epiphone-71@cox.net |
