DTS is next door with a separate entrance. This will be the main stage because of the stage size. The headliners will not all be playing last at the event. We will be dispersing their sets throghout the day to help get crowds there early, and to give all the unsigned acts a chance to play close to one of the "headliners". We're also giving out swag bags to the 1st 250 attendees through the doors to try to entice people into arriving early. 4pm isn't bad considering some fests start at noon or even before then. And as far as ticket sales, we don't want people to see this as a "pay to play" thing. 30 tikets isnt bad to get rid of with the cheap price of tix & all of the bands playing. We hope to see everyone make at least gas money by re-selling their tickets. We're only keeping 50 tickets to sell ourselves through Strawberries. Once those are gone we're starting with the bands furthest away and helping them sell theirs. We also encourage all bands to sell their unsold tickets at the festival outside the day of. We DO care about the bands, I really want to make that clear. I manage a band, and work with many others, my interests in this are very genuine. We are trying to incorporate as many other benefits into the fest as possible, such as giving bands press lists, including them in event compilations & swag bags for free, feeding everyone, getting discounts for hotel rooms, and trying to get attendees there early. The only reason we are doing it with pre-purchased tickets is because we can't afford to go down in the hole because of this. I have 4 friends from all over the country who have gone $2000+ in the hole from attempting to do similar things. I'll b happy to break even and see everyone leave feeling like they were part of something special, and treated well. |
