________________________________________ [Mar 16,2008 7:24pm - This_Is_Heresy ""] All good choices so far. But my very favorite would have to be Castlevainia: Symphony of the Night Though Castlevainia 2 on NES was a good track too |
__________________________________________ [Mar 16,2008 7:24pm - thegreatspaldino ""] Shadow of the Colossus Thunderforce VI Chrono Cross Eternal Sonata is like 4 discs of amazing Castlevania: Symphony of the Night |
_______________________________________ [Mar 16,2008 9:00pm - NuclearWinter ""] Chrono Trigger, Symphony of the Night, Secret of Mana, Final Fantasy VI (III). In all, no video game soundtrack has impressed me as much as that of Chrono Trigger. Frog's theme is probably the most epic and triumphant piece of music ever. |

_______________________________ [Mar 17,2008 9:44am - aril ""] Don't understand why everyone love's Chrono Cross' music so much. It's good, but not Yasunori Mitsuda's best work. I think Chrono Trigger's music and Xenogear's music blew it away! Hitoshi Sakimoto does awesome music too: specifically FFT and Vagrant Story (Awesome game if you've never checked it out..) Nobou Uematsu's FF3(6) soundtrack is unbelievable. It's definitely a masterpiece. Don't forget about Koji Kondo's stuff though.. he's the dude who wrote Mario Bros. (most recognizable VG music of all time) and Zelda's music. My favorite of his work is Zelda: Link's Awakening music. As far as Sega musics go, I'd have to think about that. As far as knowing their names and stuff... sorry, I'm a VG music nerd. |
__________________________________________ [Mar 17,2008 9:47am - thegreatspaldino ""] i knew i forgot Xenogears! man that music was awesome, im going to download it now. also, Time's Scar/Scars of Time alone is more than enough to carry the entire Chrono Cross soundtrack. that song is one of the best songs ever written, atleast in my vastly superior opinion it is ;) |

I would love to hear that shit again. Oh, also the Motley Crue pinball game for Genesis. It was midi versions of their songs. |
