"...And Justice for All" just needs to be fuckin' remastered, with new bass tracks. Then it just might be better than "Master," which is saying a whole fucking lot. morkul said:
entombed-left hand path..it's dark cold and windy today so it's perfect.
Heh, I remember listening to Poison the Well's "The Opposite of December" on my headphones while trying franticly to bike through the unbelievable windstorm of that day, with rainclouds blocking out the sun. It was the most intense musical experience I ever had, the Death By Stereo concert at a security-free bar aside. Today is my birthday, so y'all better not give me any bullshit for listening to Poison the Well. I will, however, admit that from what I've heard, their new album sucks. It's too punk. I got a buncha CDs, here're my comments: AC/DC, "Highway to Hell" - Quite enjoyable, like "Back in Black" with their superior vocalist. However, it lacks the smartass silliness we got from "Dirty Deeds" as well as the everlasting power of "Back in Black." Avenged Sevenfold, "Sounding the Seventh Trumpet" - Just so you know I'm not too off-topic, this is what I'm listening to right now. Good music, but far inferior to "Waking the Fallen". It's quite different, with somewhat uninteresting riffs, less melody, and more hardcore. Not to mention that whenever this guy tries to sing, I just think, "Shut the fuck up and growl! You're good at that!" Dream Theater, "Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From a Memory" - Haven't listened to it yet, my brother took it to listen to last night. It's arguably their best album though, so I'm waiting to be impressed. Judas Priest, "Painkiller" - Until I listen to DT, this is the best metal album I've purchased since Lamb of God's "As the Palaces Burn"! Metallica, "St. Anger" - Ah yes, the loathed most recent offering made by the Metal Gods of Long Ago. I'm going to say this right now just to get it off my chest: IT FUCKIN' RULES! :doublehorns: No doubt you are struggling to find reasons why I can say that, but listen to the album in a new light. You'll see. It's exactly what a bunch sold-out, burnt-out rockers need to put-out to tell the world, "We rule, you don't." Not to say that they're anywhere near as good as they once were, but this is a definate comeback. The only two things shitty about the album are the cover (some of the inner pictures would have been much better) and, obviously, the production. Trash cans are cool when fuzzy green sloths pop out of them in a Sesame Street alley and start teaching kids stuff, but not when used as snare drums. U2, "The Joshua Tree" - Beautiful, uplifting pice of music. Utterly magnificent! Timeless! Oh fuck, now I'm starting to sound like a NY Times reviewer. Halo - My brother and I persuaded our sister to sell the Lamecube and get an XBOX, the greatest console system as of now. The first thing to buy was "Knights of the Old Republic", one of the best RPGs I've ever played. I'm following the path of Darkness, which means that I kill random people and always do the immoral thing, which I'm sure many of you Black Metalheads approve of, if you even approve of Star Wars. My brother has that. I have HALO, thus rendering me superior. Nothing needs to be said about this game that hasn't. I haven't gotten anything from a set of grandparents yet, and I'll probably get $25-$50, so I plan to buy an extra game controller and order from where this bitmap came from. Christ, I've been searching everywhere for this!
