And Leonso Canales Jr. is happy as heck. At his urging, the Kleberg County commissioners on Monday unanimously designated "heaven-o" as the county's official greeting. Sounds more like a Hispanic thing. At least, everyone instrumental to getting this happen has a Spanish last name. I think if we have "freedom," that includes the freedom of others to do things we might think are a bit wacky. Especially if they come from some extreme Roman Catholic background infused with the pagan spirits of the new world. |
