So I traded my Marshall for a Mesa[views:1756][posts:6]___________________________________________ [Mar 30,2004 11:57am - WhyamIandasshole ""] Had: Marshall 50 watt JCM 800 Have: Mesa Boogie DC5 Sorry to see the Marshall go but this Mesa is a box full of balls. Best sounding Mesa I've ever heard. Its a combo but it can drive up to 3 cabs. I'm going to get it converted to a head. Thing is sweet. Vintage mesa. Think Master of Puppets. |

Then one day at houndstooth studios in manchester casey pulled out this fender head and was setting up for another band, I mistakenly made a comment about how much fenders suck.... He plugged me in cranked the gain and it was like slayer in a hand bag.. he had changed the tubes, and in hand the gain went right through the roof...yeah my jcm 2000 tsl sucked.. |

I think if I add an eq in the loop or inline with the guitar it will give me the control i want over the sound. |

Yeah, ideally thats what I would've liked but unfortunately it was one or the other. This Isn't a rectifier either. Its pre rectifier, mesa doesn't even make them anymore. It doesn't sound anything like a rect. It kind of sounds like a Marshall but with more gain and way more low end. Its also a shit load louder. |
