In namesake yeah it's a nice name to put on the list of credits to your band, but really a building's just a place. Also you are playing upstairs - not like it's downstairs opening for your idols in front of 1000+ people. It should matter more that you can give your friends/fans affordable tickets You could have done this in a similar size venue way cheaper. Also I think CD releases should be close to home and I believe this band is out of greater Boston, nothern MA? Why not host it at Anchors Up or Harpers Ferry or The Middle East? It's cool to play a big venue and all, but not when it's coming at the cost of the fans of your band and making a ticket cost what a national show does. Just my opinion on the subject though and I do hope the show has a good turnout and goes well for you. I just don't really understand the reasoning I guess to doing this.[/QUOTE]
