Whino Moreno
haha awesome.. Confession: I really did like their first two records (Adrenaline and Around the Fur) and i listened to them both for years. I went to a deftones show at Babyhead (now club hell) with Orange 9mm, and they were great, but i really couldn't hear his vocals THAT clearly. Then when i saw them at the old lupos (around the fur) i realized that chino MUST use an autotuner on the record. He's got to, there is no way someone can sound that good on cd, and that BAD live. Like terrible, like he can't come close to hitting the notes on the record he had JUST recorded. This makes me mad. It's like lip syncing.
It really depends on when you see them . I have been to some great deftones shows and a few terrible sets. too drunk to perform at some
I've seen them around 10 times. And yes, i've seen them too drunk to preform too. But i dare you to find a live recording from ANYTIME when chino hits the high notes correctly in Bored. Or even newer stuff. He just can't do it, and he never could. that doesn't mean i don't love those records. I don't really listen to them anymore, but i still love em.
