I missed the mix-tape gen. so here is one of the most recent mixed cds I have made that seems to fit together perfectly. List your own niggas

Land of the Dead-Summoning (Oath Bound)
A fistful of dollars-Ennio Morricone (Fistful of Dollars OST)
The Ectasy of Gold-Ennio Morricone (The Good, The Bad and the Ugly OST)
The Summer Funeral-Sigh (Scenes from Hell)
The kitchen/orgy suite-Basil Poledouris (Conan the Barbarian OST)
The Death of Rexor- Basil Poledouris (Conan the Barbarian OST)
Glemselens Elv-Burzum (Belus)
When the Flame Turns to Ashes-Drudkh (Blood in Our Wells)
Cel-Din Urma Vis-Negura Bunget (OM)

CD goes perfect for stormy days, twilight drives through NH hill country, or blazing in your musty basement with the single bare bulb burning

I find with iPods I become inundated with choice and therefore don't give as much of my time or attention to any one song, I always feel like skipping around, with mixed cds I listen to them more than a few times and get to look back on them a few years later to see what i liked back then.

Hell, I found my first mixed cd and laughed: system of a down, evergrey, dimmu, therion, moonspell, motorhead, nightwish.

also, conservationist, Land of the dead from summoning was on the last link in your post, I thought I was the only one who loved that song. I honestly think it is their best song to date, though Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame is their best release...every time I listen to that cd I remember the long as drive to Southern Mass I took (I live in southern NH)

Here's one of my favorite mix cds from a couple years ago, i turned it into an IPOD playlist. (this is a very depressing rainy day mix with some Goth/Folk/Celtic stuff on it. You should check it out.)

Medeival Babes - The Rose
Nick Cave - Love Letter
Gary Numan - The seed of a lie
The Gathering - Sleepy Buildings
The Cure - Push
The Sisters of Mercy - Some kind of Stranger
The Tiger Lillies - I'm Terrible
Switchblade Symphony - Clown
Faith & the Muse - Cantus
Voltaire - The man upstairs
The Medeival Babes - Salva Nos
The Cure - The Figurehead (live version from "Paris")

Nick Cave - Love Letter

win. Though I prefer Red Right Hand, as I discovered this man through the movie hellboy...even though the cover version is the one in the movie and not nearly as good as the original.
