Certainly not the perfectly consistent ratio of the third to tenth season where everything was always great, but those who miss the new episodes on that basis are missing a lot of real funny stuff in order to avoid a smaller percentage of jokes that might fall flat. Homer with the return policy this season was classic, ending in the most surprising/funniest special guest voice appearance in the entire series run (I won't spoil it for those who missed it). Episodes in the last couple years like "To Surveil With Love", "Gone Maggie Gone", "Lisa The Drama Queen", "Chief Of Hearts", "Stealing First Base", "The Squirt and The Whale", "Postcards From The Wedge", and several others have been really strong. |
