[QUOTE="brodown:1161834"]Just an FYI. "Dear fellow agent/promoter/band, I am writing to you to warn you about a band called RomeoVersusJuliet (sometimes referred to as RomeovsJuliet or Romeo Vs. Juliet), situated in the Tri-town area of Massachusetts (Topsfield, Boxford and Middleton). At the time of this bands inception I was friends with the bands guitarist and after listening to some of their music I added them to my agency feeling that they had some potential. I subsequently added them to a few Massachusetts shows. The first show they played was October 22nd, 2010 at the Lowell UTEC in Lowell, Mass. The band did not get to play because they had brought fans (more specifically, their girlfriends) who had alcohol. Their fans were caught by the police and the show ended up being shut down primarily because of this incident. We lost the venue because of this incident. Their 2nd show was on December 4th, 2010 at the Orient Heights Community Center in East Boston, Mass. Because this was a fairly large show (Ice Nine Kills and The Venetia Fair's hometown show), they had to and agreed to sell thirty tickets at $10 a piece. The $150 up front deposit was waived for them because I work with the promoter of the show and he trusted me that the band would have the money. On the day of the show, the band calls the promoter telling him that they sold only five tickets. The band did not offer to pay anything or work out a deal with us. They had two months too sell 30 tickets to a show 25 minutes away from where they live and failed miserably to do so. And furthermore, they decided they were not going to show up to the show at all. When told that myself and the promoter were going to go to their guitarist house to get the ticket money they had, they threatened to call the police and told us we were "not getting a dime." After this incident, I confiscated their Facebook page as I was an admin and they blatantly broke my trust and hurt me and the promoter's working relationship. Instead of talking it out, they called the Middleton Police department on me, told them I had taken their Facebook page (which is in no way a crime as I was made an admin) and told them I threatened to hire someone to go get the money from them which is in no way true. And I have since returned their Facebook page. Long story short, the promoter and I have blacklisted the band and I urge you to do so as well as they are a very unprofessional band and are a burden on the scene. And I feel like I owe it to others to let them know this information as the band has already started spreading false rumors about my agency and the promoter of the show. Please spread/forward this information. I have recently been informed that they may change their name so I have included the band member's names.
