If not, boot into the OS and install speedfan or another app that will let you check CPU temp. The temp sensor in the motherboard that is responsible for throttling the fan may be fucked. I've seen this before and replaced the motherboard and it was all set. Maybe your coworker needs to RMA the board and get a new one.[/QUOTE]
