Because with Boarcorpse I use triggers, and have to do much faster and more complicated patterns... in other words, when playing with UI, I would use big heavy rubber DW beaters, all the way up, and about 7inches from the head. I do this because i want the biggest stroke possible so that i get a huge sound.. i would do this with Boarcorpse, but A) I can't pull off the parts in Boarcorpse with the beaters that far back, I've gotten them significantly farther back than they were, but they're about 4.5 inches from the head now. Not only that, but when using the triggers, you NEED to use the beaters that come with it, which are a very different shape than any other beaters i've used. They have not just a metal bar that goes up with the head on it, but it's a bar that goes up, then one that's perpendicular to it, while being on the top of it.. and THAT bar has the beater head on it. It looks like a T when you have that bar adjusted to the middle. If you don't use this while using the EKIT triggers, you'll ruin you're ekits, it's very hard to explain why, and i had to learn about it by ruining my first pair... when i called AXIS to replace them they said my theory was correct, and that you HAVE to use their beaters with the EKITS. Those beaters are much lighter, but now i've found that by cranking the tension way up with them, and keeping the fairly far from the head, i can still get considerable power while playing BC, as long as I focus on my posture and make sure i don't bury the beaters.
